Sinistry was started with one purpose; to put on events that showcased the harder and darker styles of dance music that would provide like-minded ravers an atmosphere like no other!
Started in June 2008 by close friends Jester and Kohl, they wanted to create a night where Harder Styles were played from the first set to the last. Events where up-and-coming DJs could play alongside some of the biggest names in the scene and where fans of the Harder Styles could come and experience their favourite music in a friendly atmosphere.
The first event was held at Portsmouth's V-Bar and was headlined Freeform superstars Ephexis. The night was a great success and the guys knew they had hit on a winning formula. Now in it's 2nd year and with 12 events to it's name, Sinistry continues to grow and hold forward-thinking Harder Styled events.
From Industrial to Hard Dance, Hardstyle to NRG and Freeform to Gabber you'll never be short of Hard, Dark music at a Sinistry event. Our residents cover the whole spectrum and this is backed up by established DJs and newcomers alike. We've been lucky enough to have acts such as: Cally & Juice, Adam Lab4, Ephexis, D4rk and Arkitech play at our events and this is all in our first 18 months!!
If you've been to a Sinistry event or seen a SinistryDJ play at an event or heard any of their mixes, you are now officially a Sinner. This is our affectionate term for our fans. Without you guys and girls, Sinistry wouldn't exist and everything we do is aimed at giving you the best raving experience possible!!!
SinistryPortal has been creasted to give you Sinners a single place that you can find the definitive info on Sinistry, it's residents and the events that we're involved in. But this isn't it's only purpose...
SinistryPortal will also be provding you with Features and Articles on the DJs/Promotions/People that are in the scene we all love! We aim to have 2 guest mixes per month, alongside the ones released by the residents. These will be from DJs across the whole spectrum of Harder Styles and may give you the opportunity to hear a genre or style that you may not have previously heard of. There will be features on promotions/events/festivals/DJs that are catching our eye and you'll also be able to provide feedback through our community section on features you would like to see in the future.
